Hello, I am Alisha Emile, I am a French and Creole Native Speaker. I was raised in Brooklyn NY. I am a Child Advocate/Coach and Trainer. I am finishing my Second Masters, and currently working on my Colorado Coaching Credentials. Thus, soon to start my PHD in Curriculum and Instruction/ Child Behavior. My passion is to create and provide a safe and high-quality environment for my families, children, and my staff.
I strongly believe high quality environment creates an atmosphere that nurtures a Child's mind, behavior and early learning.


As Curriculum Director, I am responsible for the professional development and on-going training of our faculty, coordinating our teachers' lesson plans and implementation, ensuring compliance with our AdvancED accreditation and faithfully applying our use of Pyramid practices (the social/emotional techniques that we’ve been implementing with CU Denver’s PELE Center) to build positive, trusting relationships throughout the school between teachers and students.
 

I am also a mother of two girls 6 & 3 ½), they both keep me busy at home, and they are my joy. I earned my BA in French and Philosophy from Hunter College in 2006 and completed my first Masters of Education, Teacher Leadership in 2012. I am currently working on my second Masters Degree in Elementary Education/Teacher Licensure. I hold a Large Center Director license/Level V Professional Credential through PDIS, and certified in Teaching Strategies Gold (the school readiness assessment program we use for our Pre-Kindergarten students) and I am also a Positive Solutions Parent Trainer. I work alongside my teachers in every classroom on a rotating basis and is accessible to parents to discuss their child's social, emotional and academic needs and development.

Dora Fernandez is a Certified Pyramid Plus Coach, T-POT Reliability Certified and has a Certificate in PTR-YC. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Spanish. Dora is a native of Puerto Rico and speaks Spanish fluently. She began working with infants and toddlers six years ago. In 2012 she received her Master’s in Educational Leadership. Her love of teaching lead her to learn about Pyramid Plus. Currently she is a member of the Pyramid Plus Leadership Team in Colorado Springs, she is a Developmental Interventionist for The Resource Exchange where she provides in home therapy services for children (0-3) with developmental delays and/or disabilities and she coaches four teachers in the daycare. Jessica has over 12 years’ experience in education with dual degrees in Elementary and Special Education from Clarion University in Pennsylvania.
