Bio

Hello, I am Alisha Emile, I am a French and Creole Native Speaker. I was raised in Brooklyn NY. I am a Child Advocate/Coach and Trainer. I am finishing my Second Masters, and currently working on my Colorado Coaching Credentials. Thus, soon to start my PHD in Curriculum and Instruction/ Child Behavior. My passion is to create and provide a safe and high-quality environment for my families, children, and my staff.
I strongly believe high quality environment creates an atmosphere that nurtures a Child's mind, behavior and early learning.

As Curriculum Director, I am responsible for the professional development and on-going training of our faculty, coordinating our teachers' lesson plans and implementation, ensuring compliance with our AdvancED accreditation and faithfully applying our use of Pyramid practices (the social/emotional techniques that we’ve been implementing with CU Denver’s PELE Center) to build positive, trusting relationships throughout the school between teachers and students.

I am also a mother of two girls 6 & 3 ½), they both keep me busy at home, and they are my joy. I earned my BA in French and Philosophy from Hunter College in 2006 and completed my first Masters of Education, Teacher Leadership in 2012. I am currently working on my second Masters Degree in Elementary Education/Teacher Licensure. I hold a Large Center Director license/Level V Professional Credential through PDIS, and certified in Teaching Strategies Gold (the school readiness assessment program we use for our Pre-Kindergarten students) and I am also a Positive Solutions Parent Trainer. I work alongside my teachers in every classroom on a rotating basis and is accessible to parents to discuss their child's social, emotional and academic needs and development.
